About Dr. Bruce
Bruce Schneider, Doctor of Chiropractic has been in
private practice for 25 years. He is a graduate of New York Chiropractic College and has trained with the Upledger Institute for Cranio-Sacral Therapy. Dr. Schneider completed a four year program in the Pathwork, a dynamic process for deepening self awareness.
Here is what he has to say about the evolution of his practice:
"During my early years as a chiropractor I found my work to be effective in helping people with pain and many manifestations
of illness. This was a direct result of optimizing the flow of Innate Intelligence through the chiropractic adjustment.
As time went on something very interesting began to occur. When I worked with the physical body, many people had emotional
releases and insights about things that were important in their lives. I realized that our bodies are storehouses of
information, that everything I touched in the human body has a voice, a story, sometimes an unfulfilled longing. It became
clear to me that my work as a chiropractor would be greatly enhanced by further creating an environment of safety and trust
in which these expressions could unfold.
"Around that time I was introduced to Cranio-Sacral therapy by a colleague of mine. My experience after receiving a
Cranio-Sacral session was that I felt great freedom of movement and deep relaxation. With successive treatments I began
to feel more settled within myself and had more of a sense of clarity and understanding. It was clear that this work would
be helpful to my patients so I embarked on a course of study with the Upledger Institute.
"It was also important to me to have a basis for helping people to process the deepening awareness that came as a result of
the bodywork I was doing. The Pathwork attracted me because it recognizes that the answers we seek lie within us and it
offers practical methods for working with self honesty and self acceptance. The program was very helpful for me personally
and gave depth to the work I was doing with my patients.
"What evolved was a way of practicing that is most beneficial for healing the physical body and working with how we think
and what we feel. The methods that are available to me - the Chiropractic adjustment, Cranio-Sacral therapy, deep tissue
work, and dialogue - together create a way of working that is both scientific and intuitive. It allows me to use the best
of what I've learned to address the individual health needs of each person I work with. It is a pleasure to serve my
patients in this way."
